Straight answers
Renovation questions we get asked.
Do you do structural work?
Yes. Removing walls, framing new openings, and the structural carpentry that renovations of older timber homes usually turn up. It is done under QBCC licence 15357497, and it is the part of the job we would least want anyone to cut corners on.
Do we need to move out while you work?
It depends on the scope. Plenty of renovations run around a household, some stages are easier with the house empty. Ben talks it through when he quotes, and the schedule is agreed before the job starts so you can plan either way.
What about the trades that are not carpentry?
Where a job needs a plasterer or other trades, we work alongside them, and clients tell us that coordination shows in the result. What we quote is our carpentry; what the whole job needs is talked through honestly up front.
Do you renovate Queenslanders?
They are most of what we work on. Queenslanders and post-war timber homes make up the bulk of the suburbs we serve, and their framing, verandahs and stairs are the work our trade is built around.
